Whats A Granola Girl?

If you’ve landed on this page, then I’m guessing you probably know what a granola girl is already. Unless you’re one of my regular readers, in which case, I’m here to help!

Even if you’ve heard the name or seen them on tiktok and liked the aesthetic, you may want to know more about this particular type of person. Let me give you the low down.

A Granola Girl is someone who has a love for travel – particularly hiking and camping. They live a laid-back kind of existence, leaving high maintenance at home in the pursuit of freedom. Granola girls embrace an outdoor lifestyle and eco-friendly fashion.

That’s not to say they’re not passionate – they certainly are. When it comes to wildlife, nature, organic produce, thrifting and the freedom of the open road, there is no one more passionate.

A Granola Girl is a true nature lover and this is a big part of of the Granola Girl meaning of life.

Granola Girls have a crossover of interests with hippies, including their love of folk music, being eco-friendly, as well as some of the fashion with some amazing aesthetic girl outfits.

They are also some of the most likely people to have hopped on the van life trend, due to their love of travel and freedom.

Along with this subculture has developed a sense of style. You’re likely to see a Granola Girl in practical shoes such as Chacos or Blundstones, making them some of the most iconic aesthetic girls you will see out and about.

They’re likely to wear blue jeans or overalls, as well as a baggy and comfortable shirt. This aesthetic is all about practicality, combined with outdoor clothing – and a bit of snazzy jewellery just to jazz it up a bit. Granola girl clothes often have a vintage, thrifted vibe.

Here are some of my best tips on how to be a bit more Granola Girl:
